Sharon Lavonne Harris Rischer, of Fort Worth, Texas, received her Heavenly reward on February 12, 2025, at the age of 70.
Born on October 7, 1954, in Fort Worth Texas to A.D. Harris and Mary Virginia Hannon Harris, Sharon was a proud member of the Lake Como Class of 1973, attending both Lake Como High School and Western Hills High School. She later pursued college courses at Tarrant County College and built a dedicated career, working at Standard Meat Company from 1979 to 1993 and Tarrant County MHMR from 1993 to 2014.
A woman of deep faith, Sharon was baptized at an early age and remained a devoted member of Lake Como Church of Christ. She was a devoted mother, sister, friend and aunt. Sharon found joy in cooking, shopping, and friendly family card games, always bringing warmth and laughter to those around her.
Sharon is going to be deeply missed by many.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Advanced Heart and Lung Disease Center, Baylor Scott & White Fort Worth Campus, and Dr. Salmon Gohar, M.D., for their professionalism, dedicated and compassionate care during this time.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father, AD Harris; mother, Mary Virginia Harris; stepmother, Myrtle Harris; brother, William Hannon; sister, Delphine Jamison; sister-in laws, Dorothy Hannon, Judy Dorsey and Janet Harris; brother-in-law, Vandell Bryant; sister cousin, Brenda Houston.
Those left to honor her memory and continue her legacy are her daughter, Katrina Carpenter (Travis); son, Isaac L. Rischer; sisters, Shirley Bryant, Gloria Wright, Darlene McCullough, Jane Harris, Marie Ann Stuart (Calvin); brothers, Walter George Hannon (Linda), Lewis Dorsey (Reshonda), Roy Dorsey (Joyce), Albert Harris (Shamora), Charles Martin (Mary), Melvin Miller (Alice), Robert Lynn Harris; grandchildren, Jeremiah Boone, Brayden Rischer, Joi Rischer, Bryce Rischer, Iyanna Rischer; Sharon had a host of nieces and nephews in which they were all very special and close to her. She had a special bond with each one of them. Other family include two of her closest cousins, April Harris and Betty Harris along with numerous other loving family and friends.
The family of Sharon Lavonne Harris Rischer wishes to acknowledge and show appreciation for the outpouring of love, compassion, prayers and support given to our family at this time. We are forever grateful for your kindness.
