Thomas Smith-Chief of Police (ret)

August 16, 2025

Sister Anne will be very much missed by all of us she positively affected. From being our music teacher at St. Matthew´s, to our 8th Grade production of Icabad Crane, she always kept our class inline.

Sister Anne was not only our teacher, but also famously beat me in arm wrestling when I was in 8th grade. This story grew wings throughout our class reunions, my lunches with Anne when I was Chief of Police, and finally cultivating at my retirement as Chief, when she was crowned champion in front of hundreds of people.

Seriously, Sister Anne became a dear friend and someone you could never say no to when asked a favor. Although Sister is now gone, her dedication towards others and her legacy will live on.

I can only guess she is now playing the piano for Father Steve Adrian in heaven.
