Sister Marie Vivienne (Louise Marie Dubray) CSC, was born in Fredericksburg, TX, to the late Joseph M. and Agnes Nester Dubray. Sister is survived by her sisters, Josephine (George Lee) Miller, Antoinette Goodnight, both from Austin, TX; brother, Joseph M. (Wanda) Dubray, Yancey, TX; and nephew Charles Patrick Dubray. Sister Marie Vivienne was taught by the Sisters of the Holy Cross in Austin, TX, and following graduation from High School, entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1933. Her teaching career spanned some 50 years in elementary and secondary classes in NY, TX, VA, DC, NJ and MS. In Biloxi, MS, Sister was in pastoral care for Santa Maria del Mar Apts and a Religious Ed. Coordinator in Austin, TX, where she began a program to upgrade children who were school dropouts. When she decided to retire to Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, 1998, she thought it the best idea ever. Sister was involved with much handwork because she became acquainted with a program that assisted unwed mothers by giving them gifts of baby items and baby booties. Sister was active in the ministry of Prayer until her death. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Ministry with the Poor, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, IN 46556 or on-line at www.cscsisters.org. Reception of the Body and wake service, Tuesday, January 4, 2011, 4 p.m. in Church of Our Lady of Loretto, Saint Mary's Notre Dame, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2011, in Church of Our Lady of Loretto, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, IN. Kaniewski Funeral Home is handling arrangements
