Sixto C. Pena

Sixto C. Peña, a man of great strength and even greater love, was called home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his loved ones on November 29, 2025, at the age of 92. He was born on April 6, 1933, in the humble town of La Madrid, Coahuila, Mexico, to Lucas and Gavina (Ramos) Peña. He married the love of his life Dolores Ann Ramirez on December 28, 1961. She survives.
From a young age Sixto was largely self- taught through his dedicated work ethic and life experiences, his mind was a rich tapestry woven with wisdom and understanding. His hands, marked by hard work, were a map of his extensive working history to provide for his family. He taught his children what unshakeable resolve is and how to face each day with optimism and determination. Sixto was a man of great integrity and a lifelong idealist. He was a devoted protector and provider for his family, offering them unwavering love and support throughout his life. Adventurous at heart, he was just as willing to scale trees in search of the perfect Christmas tree as he was to pause and admire the birds that swept across the sky. He lived with purpose, curiosity, and a spirit that uplifted those around him. Sixto lived a life that was a testament to the power of hard work, dedication, and love.
In addition to his Wife-Dolores Ann Pena, he is survived by his Children-Luisa (Celestino) Alvarado, Becky (Joe) Delgado, Sixto (Claudia) Peña, Jr., David J. Peña, & Yolanda Herrera; 13 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren & numerous Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by 6 siblings and his parents. Visitation will be held 3:00-8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm Wednesday December 3, 2025 all at St. Mary Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Thursday December 4, 2025 also at St Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Schneider as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
