Skylar Elaine Gibson, a bright light who touched the hearts of many during her brief time with us, was born on September 29, 2023, in Dayton, Ohio. She passed away unexpectedly on March 25, 2025, in Beavercreek, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of joy and spirited determination.
Despite facing numerous health complications throughout her short life, Skylar was a remarkably happy little baby. Her playful and stubborn personality shone through each day, embodying a spirit that was both joyful and resilient. She had a love for the thrilling sights and sounds of fast-moving objects, especially cars, which delighted her curious mind. Her fondness for Mickey Mouse brought a sense of whimsy to her days, as did her playful interactions with her siblings, where she found joy in both play and the charming mischief of torturing her little brother.
Skylar is survived by her devoted parents, Summeray Jones and Chad Gibson. She leaves behind her loving siblings: Raya Sunshine Clark, Remy Moon Clark, Krystal Star Clark, and Nova Eugene Gibson. Skylar also cherished the presence of her grandmother, Angela Kovacs, and her grandfather, Mark Jones (Jennifer Rouse). She is lovingly remembered by her uncles, David Jones and Dustin Gibson (Renee Vandam), and her aunt, Delores Gibson (Joshua Griffin). She was also blessed to have a close bond with her great-grandparents, Audrey Johnson, Wendy Wehner, and Timothy Wehner, in addition to her cousins: Jacob Sutton, Kirsten Sutton, Brooke Sutton, Kallie Paul, Isabella Sutton, and Gabby Sutton.
Skylar’s brief life was filled with moments of laughter and love, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her joyful spirit and determination will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
