Snowflake Belcher Hurst, 80, of Tyler, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Stewart Family Funeral Home. A celebration of Snow's life will be held on Wednesday, August 14, at 3:30 pm at Stewart Family Funeral Home with interment to follow the service at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.
Snow was born to Launa Gee Belcher and Ray Belcher on August 14, 1943. She grew up in Sanger, Texas and graduated from Sanger High School in 1961. She continued her education at North Texas State University and in 1964 she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education. Snow married Charles Henderson Hurst on August 20, 1965 and they were married for over 27 years until his death in 1992. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.
Snow was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life and she enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities.
In addition to her parents and Charles, Snow was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl Belcher, Glen Belcher, Jim Belcher and George Belcher and sisters, Corine Maxwell, Hazel Belcher, Dorothy Masten and Elizabeth Belcher. She is survived by son Steven Hurst and wife Melissa of Whitehouse and daughter Susan Kelly and husband Todd of Tyler; grandchildren Mason Kelly of McKinney, Peyton Kelly of Tyler and Blake Hurst of Whitehouse; sister Doris Davis of Sanger and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Steven Hurst, Blake Hurst, Todd Kelly, Mason Kelly, Peyton Kelly, Dale Hurst and Robert Kelly.
Honorary pallbearers are Danny Belcher, Jim Belcher, Brian Belcher, Terry Masten and Eddie Hurst.
