Sollace Molineux Bommer

BOMMER, Sollace M., passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. She was 87. Born and raised in Metuchen, NJ, she was a resident of Oakland, NJ, before moving to Franklin Lakes, NJ, 43 years ago. Sollace attended Metuchen High School and the College of William and Mary in Virginia where she was a member of Kappa Kapa Gamma sorority.
Sollace was an active member of the community. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Allendale. She was a member of the Brownstone Quilters Guild and The Material Girls, a Master Gardner and volunteered time at The New Jersey Botanical Gardens and the Wyckoff Wildlife Center where she spent time in the herb garden. Sollace was a proud American and a member of Daughters of the American Revolution. Sollace's quilting extended beyond her family. In the last ten years she donated over 100 handmade quilts to the Children's Hackensack Cancer Center.
Sollace is predeceased by her beloved husband Peter of 56 years, her daughter-in-law Maureen, and granddaughter Julia. Survivors include two sons: Stephen K. Bommer and Jenifer of Franklin Lakes, NJ, Daniel L. Bommer, his wife Kathleen, of Reston, VA; and daughter Gretel B. Lynch of Arlington, VA; ten grandchildren: Kelly, Kent, Grant, Emily, Curtis, Abigail, Kiera, Molly, Loren, and Lindsey; two brothers: William Molineux (and his wife Mary) and Thomas Molineux (and his wife Margaret).
A Memorial Service for Sollace will be held on Saturday, November 25 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 55 George Street, Allendale, NJ 07401.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sollace's memory may be made to Franklin Lakes Volunteer Ambulance Corp. Arrangements were by Vander Plaat Funeral Home of Wyckoff, (vpfh.com)
