Sondra Jo (Brownell) Bergstrom

Sondra Jo (Brownell) Bergstrom, 63, of Clyde, Kansas, entered into rest on December 31, 2025, at the Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. She was born on April 26, 1962, in Concordia, Kansas to Harry and Janice (Miller) Brownell. Sondra attended Concordia Grade School, Concordia Middle School, and Concordia High School, graduating in 1980. She received an associate’s degree from Cloud County Community College and taught as a special education teacher in the Clifton-Clyde School District, as well as served Clifton-Clyde High School as secretary. She then worked for NCK Radiology in Concordia for almost 30 years.

Sondra poured her love and her life into her family, friends, animals, and community. She never knew a stranger with folks from all walks of life finding a safe space in her presence, a listening ear, a warm hug, and the best laugh. Her creativity knew no limits and her passion was crafting, whether it be resin art, Halloween costumes, yard décor, or cake and cookie decorating. And as a lover of all creatures great and small her life would not have been complete without her dog, cat, opossum, and other animal companions.

Survivors include her husband, Jonathan Bergstrom, Clyde, KS; daughter, Lindsay Bergstrom, Nashville, TN; mother, Janice Brownell of Concordia; brother, Larry Brownell (Kim), Concordia, KS; granddaughter, Emma Bergstrom, Aurora, CO. and family: Dom, Maggie, Addison, and Kai; mother-in-law Sarah Elizabeth Bergstrom of Clyde, brother and sister in-laws, Rod Bergstrom of Loveland, CO; Pam Saulnier (Don) of Spring Hill, KS; Melinda Bergstrom of Topeka; nieces and nephews, Shelby (Kyle), Lacey (Derek), Braden, Hannah, Christina, Sarah, Ryan, Stephanie, Cassidy, and Mackenzie, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded by her father, Harry Brownell, and son, Keenan Bergstrom.

Visitation will be at the Chaput Mortuary on Monday, January 5, 2026, 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with family there from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Celebration of Sondra’s Life will be held 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at The Branch in Clyde, Kansas with Pastor David Redmond officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Clyde, Kansas.

The family has invited everyone to a luncheon at the Community Hall, 401 Washington St, downtown Clyde following the graveside service for family and friends to continue to fellowship and share memories of Sondra's life.
