Shirley K. Patrick, 83, Concordia, passed away on December 13, 2025, at Sunset Home in Concordia, Kansas. She was the youngest of six children, born to Elmer and Stella (Clark) Patrick on April 26, 1942.
Shirley defied odds over and over. Her parents were told she probably wouldn’t live long after birth and then were told she probably would not see 30. She lived a full life, attending school in Formoso, Kansas. She went on to work as an Employment Trainer at OCCK in Concordia, Kansas.
She enjoyed playing with her pets, cooking, gardening, and canning, doing word search and jig saw puzzles, playing board games, bird watching, and reading her Bible.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Vernon, Beulah, Madeline, Howard, and Rex.
She is survived by chosen family, Colton, Lori, and Arthur Adam, many nieces, nephews, and friends, especially Gloria Adam, Mae and Arthur Fritz, Nancy, Randy, Alex, and Rusti Greenwood.
Friends may sign the register book on December 29, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Al Paredes officiating. Memorials may be given to Sunset Home in care of Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, P.O. Box 606, Concordia, KS 66901.
