Sonia Long Obituary
Sonia was a retired pharmacist whose career was marked by her dedication to patient care and her work at Nemours Hospital in Wilmington, DE, and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She was a proud graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (PCP), where she earned her degree in pharmacy.
Outside of her professional achievements, Sonia's heart was filled with music. She was a longtime member of the Haverford Singers, contributing her voice to their classical repertoire for many years. Her love of music extended to her faith community, where she sang faithfully at her home church, Havertown Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Sonia is survived by her children, Stefanie Long and Matthew Long, and her cherished grandchildren, Christian and Leia. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Long, with whom she shared a life of love and devotion.
A celebration of Sonia's life will be held on Saturday, February 15th, at 4:00 PM at Havertown Seventh-Day Adventist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sonia's memory to the Alzheimer's Association to honor her journey and to support the fight against this disease.
