Sonia Caridad "Tejeria" Molina

Sonia Caridad Molina, 82, of West New York, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at Greenwood House in Ewing, NJ.

Sonia was born and raised in Havana, Cuba, the daughter of Teodoro and Milagros Tejeria. She was a high school graduate who worked side by side with her husband, Manuel, in their family business, the Park Cafe, for 30 years in West New York, NJ, where they also raised their family. During that time, Sonia held many roles at the cafe-bartending, cooking, and serving customers with dedication and warmth. She was a tough cookie and a fighter, having survived a stroke at the age of 52.

Sonia loved to dance and enjoyed watching her favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox. She loved collecting angels and held a strong faith throughout her life. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

She now joins her beloved husband, Manuel Armando Molina, and her brother, Teodoro Tejeria, in the heavenly kingdom.

Sonia is survived by her loving children, Elisa Molina and her wife, Charin Cetkowski, and Armando Molina and his wife, Veronica. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Julian Molina and Ariella Molina, and her great-grandson, Julian Molina Jr. She is further survived by her sister, Mercedes Veitia, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Visitation for Sonia will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.

A second visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Barquin Funeral Home, Guttenberg, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph of the Palisades R.C. Church, West New York.

Entombment will follow on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Flower Hill Mausoleum in North Bergen, NJ, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Manuel Armando Molina.
