Sonia Sanchez, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on November 19, 1976, Sonia lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family.

A devoted stay-at-home mom, Sonia poured her heart into caring for her loved ones. She kept the household full of warmth and joy—whether it was cooking delicious meals, running errands, or simply being there for her husband and children. Her kitchen was her stage, and she proudly shared her cooking with family, turning every gathering into a celebration. 

Sonia had a vibrant spirit and a love for life. She enjoyed dancing to her favorite music, singing along with joy, and filling every room with her laughter and humor. Her playful personality and quick wit made her the heart of every occasion. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved twin sister, Sandra Mar Chavez. She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Ascension Chavez Ortiz and Felipa Alvarez Chavez; her devoted husband of 26 years, Manuel Sanchez Herrera; her cherished son, Emanuel Sanchez; and her adored daughters, Nayelie Sanchez and Vanessa Sanchez. She also leaves behind her siblings, Alejandro Chavez and wife Dorian, Guadalupe Beatriz Diaz and husband Gilberto Jr., and Norma Nelly Santos and husband Omar; her brother-in-law, Carlos Alberto Mar. In addition, she will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, her fur companion KoKo and many other relatives and a host of dear friends.

More than anything, she will be remembered as the best mom her children could ever ask for—loving, strong, and irreplaceable. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Sonia Sánchez, amada esposa, madre, hija, hermana y amiga, falleció en paz el 10 de septiembre de 2025, a la edad de 48 años. Nacida el 19 de noviembre de 1976, Sonia vivió una vida llena de amor, alegría y dedicación a su familia.

Como madre dedicada en el hogar, Sonia entregó su corazón al cuidado de sus seres queridos. Mantuvo el hogar lleno de calidez y alegría—ya fuera cocinando deliciosas comidas, haciendo mandados, o simplemente estando presente para su esposo e hijos. Su cocina era su escenario, y con orgullo compartía su sazón con la familia, convirtiendo cada reunión en una celebración.

Sonia tenía un espíritu vibrante y un gran amor por la vida. Disfrutaba bailar al ritmo de su música favorita, cantar con alegría y llenar cada espacio con su risa y su sentido del humor. Su personalidad juguetona y su ingenio la convertían en el alma de cada ocasión.

Fue precedida en muerte por su amada hermana, Sandra Mar Chávez. Su recuerdo será atesorado por sus padres, Ascensión Chávez Ortiz y Felipa Álvarez Chávez; su devoto esposo de 26 años, Manuel Sánchez Herrera; su querido hijo, Emanuel Sánchez; y sus adoradas hijas, Nayelie Sánchez y Vanessa Sánchez. También deja a sus hermanos, Alejandro Chávez y esposa Dorian, Guadalupe Beatriz Díaz y esposo Gilberto Jr. y Norma Nelly Santos y esposo Omar; su cuñado, Carlos Alberto Mar. Además, será profundamente extrañada por muchos sobrinos y sobrinas, su companero Koko y otros familiares y una gran cantidad de queridos amigos.
