Sonia Agatha Simpson

Sonia Mullings Simpson, 65 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away peacefully Thursday, September 25, 2025. She was born in Manchester, Jamaica the daughter of Ivy Eunice Bryan.

Sonia loved to travel and frequently visited the Central Florida area; in 2022 she decided to move from Georgia to Kissimmee to be with her daughter Kareel and close family. She lived a faith-filled life and attended the Mount Vernon Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mount Vernon, New York. Sonia was a switchboard operator for the Grace Kennedy Group in Jamaica and worked for many years as an In-Home Caretaker for infants and the elderly. She had a passion for healthcare and helping others. Sonia was a hard worker and kept a tidy home but in her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Sonia's presence in our lives was a true blessing. She will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.

Surviving are her mother, Ivy Bryan of Port St Lucie, daughter Kareel Elliot and son-in-law Dominique Blandin of Kissimmee, Florida; one sister, Charmaine Tabana of Port St Lucie in Florida; two brothers, Wayne Campbell of Jamaica, and Richard Robinson of Canada; two grandchildren: Khiael Hillman and Deion Blandin of Kissimmee, Florida; close nieces, Francesca, Jheanell, Daneile, Chantol, Vanessa of Port St. Lucie. She also leaves best friend of 20 years, Keith Elliot; Ex-husband, Junior Simpson, Best friend of 40 years; Yvonne Ferguson and the family pets that will deeply miss her constant love and affection.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Leonard and Gladstone Henry.

A service to celebrate the life of Sonia Mullings Simpson will take place Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home.
