Funeral Services are 11:00 am Monday, December 23, 2024 at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko, MS. Burial will follow at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko. Visitation will be on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Culpepper Funeral Home.
Sonny is survived by his sons Robert Ellis (Scooter) and Mark Ellis (Kerrie), his daughter-in-law Michele Ellis, his sisters Betty Springer and Joy Oakes, and 9 grandchildren Dean Ellis, Zac Ellis, Dylan Ellis, Lauren Knight (Byron), Robyn Ellis (Casey), Colby Ellis (Alex), Emilee Hart (Colin), Molly McCourt (Layton) and Mack Ellis and 4 great-grandchildren Noble, Ellis, Cohen and Lorrainn.
Sonny is preceded in death by his parents Lois Bounds and Robert M. Ellis, his son Mike Ellis, his brother Bobby Ellis and his sisters Margie McFarland and Dixie Mundy.
Sonny was a member of Unity Baptist Church. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired from CN Railroad with 40 years of service.
