Soon Ku Lee

Our beloved father, brother, cousin, and friend, Soon Lee, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, to parents Sung Kyu Lee and Shin Ja Ko, Soon attended Attached High School to the College of Education at Chung-Ang University and later graduated from Kyung Hee University with a degree in Electronic Engineering. He immigrated to Virginia in 1990, where he built a life over many years, spending time in Chicago and later in New Jersey. Dedicated to his profession, he worked as an electronic engineer and, at one point, proudly owned his own business.

Soon is remembered by his children, Kenneth and Jeanne Lee; his sister, Haeeun Lee; his brother, Wonku Lee; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His family misses him tremendously but finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace with the Lord.

He found joy in life's simple pleasures-watching movies, cheering on sports with his son, attending his children's soccer games, cooking alongside his daughter, and enjoying his favorite foods as a true "foodie." He was deeply funny, caring, and devoted to his family.

Funeral services will be held at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home on September 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Fairfax Memorial Park near his father and grandparents, in accordance with his wishes.
