Sophia Jacqueline Brown-Davis

Sophia (Roma) Brown-Davis departed this life on July 26th, 2024. Born on September 21st, 1969 in Boghole, Clarendon in Jamaica, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to many.
Sophia is preceded in death by her mother, Joycelyn Meredith, and her grandmother, Eveline Medley. She is survived by her husband, Desmond Davis; her children, Kerriann Palmer, Tameka Bryan Vaughan, Trevaughn Smith, and Kayann Davis; her sisters, Cordell Johnson and Michelle Brown; her brothers, Errol Brown, Rodcliffe Brown, O'Neil Brown, and Lindon Ingram; her granddaughter, Nevaeh Vaughn; her grandsons, Savion Vaughn, Trivion Vaughn, and Kaiden Menzie, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends who will continue to cherish her memory and walk a path of service.
Sophia moved to Springfield in 1999 and was known as a kind, helpful soul. Always willing to help others if she could, she was a passionate and thoughtful CNA with a career spanning over 2 1/2 decades. She had a remarkable ability to help bring out the full potential of anyone lucky enough to speak to her. Galvanized by her faith in God and love of community, she was always the first to arrive in anyone's time of need. She will be deeply missed.
