Souriya Choummanivong Jr.

Souriya Choummanivong, Jr., age 41, of Northbridge, passed away on July 5, 2023, in Milford, MA, following a period of declining health. Born on April 24, 1982, to his loving parents, Souriya and Eleanor (Daigle) Choummanivong of Whitinsville, Souriya lived a life filled with love, dedication, and a deep sense of family.
A graduate of Clinton High School, Souriya worked for Amazon.
Souriya's interests were as broad as they were deep. He had a profound love for sports and was an avid soccer player, His love for sports was only surpassed by his love for his family. As a father, Souriya was devoted, loving, and endlessly patient. His children, Angel, Sarina, Kayleigh, and Aidyn Choummanivong, were the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
In addition to his children, Souriya is survived by his sister, Amanda Burdick, and her husband Rob of Whitinsville. Souriya's family was his rock, providing him with unwavering support and love throughout his life. His longtime girlfriend, Deidre Tierney, was a constant source of joy and companionship for Souriya. His niece and nephew, Olivia Choummanivong and Cordell Dukes, will remember their uncle as a loving and caring figure who always made time for them.
Souriya was a man who embodied kindness and gentleness in every aspect of his life. He was a loving son to his parents, a devoted brother, a cherished partner, and an adoring father. His gentle spirit and kind heart have left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Souriya Choummanivong, Jr.'s life was a testament to the power of love and kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. His memory will serve as a reminder of the profound impact one person can have on the lives of many, simply by living a life filled with love and kindness.
Calling hours for Souriya will be held on Friday, July 14 from 10AM -12 PM at Buma Funeral Home, 480 Church Street, Whitinsville followed by a funeral service at 12PM in the funeral home. Procession to Rural Crematory will follow, where cremation will take place.
