Spring Godfrey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. - Peru on Mar. 13, 2025.
Spring L. Godfrey, 49, of the Irish Settlement Rd, Plattsburgh, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 10, 2025.
She was born in Plattsburgh, January 22, 1976, the daughter of David Joy and Robin Baker.
Spring was known for her warmth, generosity, and the undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Samuel, Jr.; their beloved children, Braxton and her partner Brian Maulding, Jr. and their daughter, Maxine, Kerriann, Alyese, and Samuel, III; her sister, Amber Damiani; brothers, Nick Damiani, David Joy, Jason Joy, and Bruce Joy; her father, Dave Joy and step-mother, Sandy Joy; father-in-law, Samuel, Sr.; and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
She is joined in rest by her mother, Robin Baker Damiani; her step-father, Nicholas Damiani; and mother-in-law, Lucy Godfrey; along with many other loved ones throughout her life.
With a hefty family tree and a family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Spring's reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.
Among Spring's most significant accomplishments was raising her four children, whom she held as her pride and joy. She was owner of Kidzone Family Daycare for 10 years and treated all of the children she cared for like they were her own.
In her free time, she loved being outside in nature, fishing, kayaking, tending to her gardens, and being with her family.
Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. Even with little to spare, Spring continued to give and help others. Even when sick or in pain, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself.
A celebration of her life will be held later in the year with details to be announced when established.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 518-643-9055.
