Stacey L. Dottin

Stacey Dottin was born in Cambridge, MA on December 5, 1959, to Gerald A. Dottin Sr. and Joanne M. Dottin of Cambridge Mass. She attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School where she played in the band, played softball, basketball, and excelled in the shotput on the track team.
After high School Stacey attended Norfolk State College where she studied Social Services. Stacey worked at the MBTA for years, but her real passion was in sharing her love of the Culinary Arts. Stacey's gift for making mouth-watering West Indian cuisine led her to offering her dishes at the Western Front Lounge and to running a small catering business of her own. Ultimately, Stacey became a head chef for the Cambridge Public School Department earning several culinary certifications.
Stacey was more than a mother to her 2 daughters, Sherissa J. Dottin of Seattle and Kourtney Rutty-Dottin of Cambridge. She was their best friend and role-model. Stacey was considered the "Cool" Auntie by all her nieces, nephews and other young people who had the great fortune to be around her. Stacey would lovingly open her home as a safe space to the neighborhood children and would oftentimes babysit for anyone who needed it. A kind soul, she would give her last to those less fortunate. When asked for help, she would move mountains. She loved and cherished her family members and many friends.
Stacey is predeceased by her mother, Joanne M. (Love) Dottin, brother Bryant Dottin and sister Yvonne. She leaves to mourn her father, Gerald A. Dottin Sr., daughter Sherissa J. Dottin and son-in-law Dion Quinn, daughter Kourtney Rutty-Dottin, sister Kathie Dottin and brother Gerald A. Dottin Jr., grandchildren Dion Quinn Jr., Darius Quinn, Daylan Quinn, Makayla Quinn and Sion Dottin-Quinn, plus a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She will truly be missed by all.
