Stacie Constable
Stacie came screaming into this world on July 14th 1983 to Rebecca and Robert Constable at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 20 minutes later her mom was pregnant again and her family got stationed at Barksdale AFB. Which is pretty lucky because Rebecca had 3 kids under 3 as a military spouse, she needed all the family she could get and this is where Stacie learned the value of family.
Before she knew it the family was off again on an adventure as Robert got stationed in England at RAF Mildenhall. Here Stacie learned to talk and run because of course she skipped crawling and walking and went straight to running because she never did anything in half measures.
After a year, the family was off once again but this time to Southern Alabama where they were close to her paternal grandparents and extensive family. She made wonderful memories during these years; she had great holidays and so many fun times with all the cousins on the farm.
After her parents’ divorce, she moved to a little town called Stonewall, Louisiana to live with her maternal grandparents. This is when her personality really came to life, she was a spit fire who never took no for an answer, and as Rebecca would say, “she would argue with a brick wall if you let her”. She was stubborn to say the least. Stonewall is where she grew up, went to school, collected friends like trading cards, gave her mother gray hair and fell in love with Wesley Cassell the boy down the road who is the kindest man and they had 2 of the best girls Rosaland and Brooklyn.
If Stacie was born to be anything in this world it was to be a mother. She was lover and a fighter. She loved her girls and nieces and nephews with a fierceness that was unmatched. She loved to play, be silly, and to spoil them rotten even to the consternation of their parents. She never forgot a birthday and was always there to listen.
Her tenacity for all things was an aid when she was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer at such a young age. Through all the years of surgeries and treatments she fought for life. She raised 2 kind girls, traveled, spent time with family and never gave up even when her body did. Stacie will be remembered as a fighter whose spirit was stronger than her body. Stacie peacefully passed away at 42 years old on February 10, 2026 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
A memorial service to honor Stacie’s life will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 2 PM at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, please make donations in Stacie’s name to The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, that every donation made in Stacie’s name will be used to improve the lives of everyone impacted by pancreatic cancer.
