Stacie Lyn Lester, 54, unexpectedly passed away at her home in Sacramento on November 7, 2025. Stacie was born on December 4, 1970, in Sacramento, to Gil Lester and Marilyn Scheidegger. Stacie left behind her brother, Mark Lester, and sisters, Jamie and Corey Scheidegger. Stacie had a long a successful career in the Mental Health field; she loved being an advocate for those less fortunate. She was also a strong voice for the LBGTQ+ community and believed in equality for all. In her spare time, Stacie enjoyed spending time with those she cared for. She was also a loving and devoted dog mom.
Stacie is also survived by her step-father, Jack Scheidegger, step-mother, Rose Lester, and step-sister, Mindy Hernandez, as well as countless friends and colleagues.
Stacie has requested her ashes be spread in the Pacific Ocean, to reunite with her beloved Lilo; the remainder of her cremains will be interned at Fair Oaks Cemetery.
