Obituary For Mrs. Stacy Dragulescu
Stacy Perry Dragulescu left this life surrounded by her family on March 16, 2024, following a valiant battle with an aggressive cancer. She fought this disease with great ferocity and humor, enlisting her closest to share a journey that both terrified and fascinated her.
She was born to Ronald and Judith Perry on March 27th, 1970, in Chambersburg, PA. Stacy lived most of her life on Hilton Head Island, where she attended Hilton Head High beforeearning her BA Degree at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
Stacy met her husband Dr. Tudor Dragulescu at the University of South Carolina, and they were married at sunset in a beautiful ceremony on Charles Towne Landing in Charleston,SC. They settled on Hilton Head Island, where she raised three dearly loved children – Aden and twins Ian and Ella.
Stacy brought extraordinary energy, confidence and vision to the management of her family's household and business. Although the children always came first, still she was able to manage Tudor's dental practice while keeping house, cooking meals and shuffling frenetically between the school and after-school activities. After moving the family to Atlanta, she took charge of their investments with her characteristically intrepid vigor, deciding where and how to put savings away to ensure a beautiful legacy for her family. It was part of her magic that she invested in rental properties in Kapalua, Hawaii and Key West, Florida–where the Dragulescu "clan" and close friends gathered to enjoy hikes, rock climbing, whale watching and skies spectacular. During her year-long illness, she struck an ambitious balance of treatments, wellness practices, and entrepreneurial projects. Through Stacy's courageous fight against cancer, she kept her generous spirit and continued making plans to start a podcast to support cancer victims in advocating for themselves. Whatever she put together for her family to enjoy, she also always shared with her friends.
Stacy Dragulescu was a beautiful "force" with her sparkly blue eyes, an infectious smile and a feisty spirit. Always with some wonderful idea up her sleeve, she made good things happen. It didn't matter who you were or where you lived, if your path crossed Stacy's, then you were a friend for life. Stacy will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished, and her energetic spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Tudor Dragulescu; her children Aden, Ella and Ian; her parents Ronald Blair Perry and Judith Perry; her sister Dana Elizabeth Perry; and her loving aunts and uncles: Nancy and Dana Hershey; Sally and Glenn Perry; Patricia and Michael Hardin. The family wishes to thank Stacy's friends who accompanied her through this journey:
