Stan was raised in Snowflake, Arizona and graduated from Snowflake High School. He went on to have a career and retired from the Santa Fe Railroad in Winslow, Arizona, where he raised his children.
After retiring from the railroad, he had a hobby of working on and restoring tractors with his good friend. They did this for many years and had a great time searching for parts and going to auctions.

He is preceded in death by Deanna Freeman, Ruth Ann Freeman, his son, John Freeman, his siblings, George "Bud", Jennine, Dixie, Shirley, Marilyn and Sally; and parents Rial and Faun Freeman.
Stan was an unforgettable patriarch of our family with a quick wit and amazing sense of humor that we all have appeared to inherit. Always available with advice to put things into perspective by starting the sentence with "The thing about it is...."
