Stanley Glen Baker of Meadow, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, in Brownfield, at the age of 82. He was born June 16, 1943, in Muleshoe, Texas to Hayden and Clarice (Gumm) Baker.
He married his wife of 27 years, Judith Ann Jorgensen Rezac, on November 15, 1980, in Lubbock, Texas.
As a young boy, he worked as the butcher in his parents’ grocery store in Meadow, up until it sold. He then owned and operated a small business at Buffalo Springs Lake. His passion for restoring and collecting radios and other electronics led to him getting his Electrical Engineering degree. This passion took him on the road, traveling and servicing postage meters for Pitney Bowes throughout Texas and the surrounding areas until retirement.
He continued his love for all things electronic and learning the dynamics of how they worked. To those who were fortunate to cross his path, he was always willing to tell a story.
Stanley was an active member of the Vintage Radio and Phonograph Society of Dallas. His joyful spirit was evident to all who were blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Judy, brothers: Leonard, Adrian, Joe Royce, Burl and Rex, and sister Lynette.
He is survived by his daughter Stacy Lynn Wehmeyer of Oklahoma, grandchildren Sydney and Bryce Wehmeyer of Oklahoma, and sister Judy Baker Thomson of Levelland, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and is entrusted to the care of Brownfield Funeral Home. A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
