Stanley S. Belinskas, 83, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 25th, 2024, after a valiant battle with Cancer.

 Stanley was born in Worcester, the eldest son of Stanley and Phyllis (Bindhammer) Belinskas. Raised a member of a large Lithuanian family in the Grafton Hill neighborhood of Worcester, He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade school, joined the U.S. Navy, serving his country proudly as a Navy Seabee , notably as part of operation Deep Freeze, building base stations on Antarctica. Upon discharge and return to Worcester, Stanley married the “Love of his Life” Gail E. deHaan and began a life of faith, family and devotion raising their family for the next 55 years. Stanley, given the gift of construction, began the career he loved as a union carpenter for the Carpenter’s Union Local 107 in Worcester before retiring. Stanley, not willing to just retire, accepted a position with the Devereau school teaching the trade to students. He was also licensed as a Master Welder.  

 Stanley is survived by his love, Gail; A son, he was so proud of and his best friend, Kurt D Belinskas; grandsons Camren and Cole;   five brothers, Paul Belinskas and his wife Jeannie, Michael Belinskas and his wife Barbara, Daniel Belinskas and his wife Nancy, all of Worcester, Stephen Belinskas and his wife Phyliss of Daytona, FL, James Belinskas and his wife Madeline of Spencer; a sister in law, Maryann Belinskas of Shrewsbury; his dog, “Missy”; Blessed with special nieces and nephews, especially Colleen and Matt who were there daily to help care for Stanley. Other extended family and lifelong friends. Besides, his parents, a sister Sally Phenix, and brothers, David and George predeceased him. 

 Stanley was a member of St Stephen’s Church, and the Carpenter Union Local 107. Stanley was a talented tradesman, able to construct, fix or maintain anything that needed it. He had a huge heart, kind soul and wiliness to help others. He answered the call to help anyone who asked, and out of the union worked on many high-profile projects because of his skills. A true family person, his wife, son, and grandsons came first. He enjoyed every minute he could spend with them during special occasions, holidays or anytime they could be together.  Stanley also enjoyed Surf cast fishing on Cape Cod with the Massachusetts Beach Buggy Association, 

The Belinskas family, would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and staff, of the Umass-Lake ER and Perioperative units, notably Dr Zhang, Dr Smith and Dr Rosenthal for the care, comfort and compassion they gave to Stanley.  

 Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Tuesday, April 2, from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Wednesday, April 3rd from the funeral home with a procession beginning at 9:30 to St Stephen Church, 357 Grafton St. where his Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10:00 am. Burial with Military honors will follow in St Luke Cemetery, Westborough.
