March 13, 1927 - December 31, 2021
St. George, Utah - Stanley Paul Codiga entered into rest peacefully at Primrose Retirement Community in St. George, Utah with his family by his side on December 31, 2021 at the age of 94.
Stanley was born in Ripon, California to Joseph and Margaret Codiga. Stanley leaves behind his three sons, two daughters-in-law, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty seven years, Vivian R. Codiga, his parents Joseph and Margaret Codiga, and his sister Joann M. Tocalino.
Stanley is survived by his son Stanley Paul Codiga Jr., grandchildren Vivian and Dashel, son David Codiga and daughter-in-law Susan Codiga, grandchildren Jackie, Hope and Sasha, and son Michael Codiga and daughter-in-law Kelly Codiga, grandchildren Mia (Casey), Ella (Trevor), CeCe (Gage) and Noah (Elizabeth), and four great-grandchildren: River, Ivy, Ezra, and Coco.
Stanley was raised in Modesto. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1944, and later went to college in Stockton and San Francisco. He returned to Modesto in the mid-fifties to practice dentistry as one of three founders of Dentistry for Children. He was a longtime member of the Rotary Club, Modesto Swim & Racquet Club, Central Catholic Boosters Club, and Sportsman of Stanislaus. He loved tennis, Twain Harte, the beach in Aptos, travelling in France and Italy, the San Francisco Giants and 49ers, Deep Canyon Tennis Club in Palm Desert, attending his grandchildren's athletic competitions and artistic endeavors, his many friends, but most of all he loved – his companion and love of his life – his wife, Vivian Rose.
The family is planning a private memorial in Twain Harte in the spring.

Prayers to the family. Dr Codiga was my dentist as a child until he retired. I begged him not to retire he was "MY" dentist. I knew that he and Viv had many great memories together.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
