Stanley Ray Farris, 79, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born August 17, 1943, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of James Paul and Bertha Ann (Lueckenotte) Farris.
Stanley served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam Era.
He was united in marriage on October 7, 1967, at St. Martins Catholic Church to Delores B. Rademan who preceded him in death on September 29, 2022. Stanley passed on their 55th wedding anniversary.
Stanley worked as a Tire Salesman for many years with several local stores including Jeff City Oil; Big O Tires, and Ewers Tires.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Stanley enjoyed bowling, embroidery, gardening, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
Survivors include his children, Paula (Jimmie) Chesnut, Taos; Kenneth (Kelley) Farris, Centertown; Richard (Jennifer) Farris, Jefferson City; Kathy (Will) Fritz, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren, Joshua Chesnut, Jacob Chesnut, Casey Farris, Caleb Farris, Cody Farris, Ethan Farris, Dalton Fritz, Kyleigh Fritz, Kloie Fritz; and two siblings, Roger (Paula) Farris, Jefferson City; and Forest "Dean" (Theresa) Farris, California, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, William (Clara) Farris, Wesley Farris, Herbert "Herbie" Farris, Charles Farris, and George (Regina) Farris.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City with a rosary recited at 3:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2022, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Brad Berhorst officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Masses.
