Stanley Marvin Garrett, age 68, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2025.
Stanley was born on November 11, 1956, to Elizabeth and James Garrett. A lifelong resident of Union County, he dedicated over 40 years of his life to serving the community through his work with the Union County School System, where he impacted countless students, families, and colleagues.
Stanley was a father, a husband, a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandfather, and a friend - and he wore each of those titles with pride, humility, and unwavering love. He is survived by his loving wife, Traci Garrett; his sons, Caleb Garrett (Christie), Corey Garrett (Alexis), Ethan Martin (Brittany), and Eli Martin (Lydia); and his cherished grandchildren, Stokley, Kori Raye, Canton, Etta Kate, and Cutler. Many additional family members and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Garrett; his parents, Elizabeth and James Garrett; and his sister, Pam.
Stanley was a pillar of strength in both his family and his community. His selflessness, compassion, and relentless work ethic defined his life. To know him was to know a man who would do anything for the people he loved. His work was his hobby, and his family was his passion. His accomplishments are many, but it is the legacy of love, loyalty, and strength that will live on.
