Stanley Kluss Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weber-Hill & Packard Funeral Home - Crandon on Oct. 1, 2025.
Stanley James "Jim" Kluss, 84, died peacefully, surrounded by family on July 25th, 2025. Jim was born on April 3rd, 1941, to Stanley and Leith Kluss. Jim graduated from Crandon High School in 1959.
Jim married the love of his life, Jeanie (Fannin) Kluss, on December 30, 1960. They raised a family together for 63 years and were blessed with 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and other family members and friends that became family. Jim and Jean truly enjoyed spending their lives together. In their early years of marriage, they lived in cities in southern Wisconsin raising their children. Later, life became simpler when they moved back home to Crandon so they could be by their daughter, grandchildren and Jeanie's siblings.
When Jim moved back to Crandon he became the resident "handy man" helping anyone with projects large or small. In addition to being a handy man after moving home, Jim drove bus for his brother and sister in law, Bill and Merri Pitts for many years - retiring in March of this year. Jim not only drove the daily bus route but drove sports teams to and from their games. Jim loved being the driver for his grandchildren's events - rarely missing a game. Jim also became close with many student athletes over the years, enjoying watching them excel in sports as well as grow in life and prepare to take on adult hood.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Nicole (Joe) Houle, his son Michael (Sheila) Kluss. Grandchildren: Randi Jean (Kevin) Jacobson, Katelyn (Tee) Hines, Joey (Kera) Houle and Angelica Kluss. Great-grandchildren: Hadleigh Kluss, Layla Jacobson, Willard Jacobson and Asher Jacobson. Jim is further survived by his wife's two siblings: Bill (Sandy) Fannin and Merri (Bill) Pitts. Uncle Jim's love was also felt by all of his nieces and nephews.
Jim was welcomed into heaven by his wife, Jean; his son, Randall (Randy); his brother, Robert; his parents, Stanley and Leith Kluss; and his In-Laws, Ken and Milre Fannin.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and staff for their ability to fight alongside him, give exceptional care, have compassion and never-ending support during Jim's weeks of care and final days. Your kindness and dedication brought comfort to both Jim and our family, and we are deeply grateful.
As a family and per Jim's request; we have decided to have a private celebration of life with those closest to him, just as he wanted. Jim has touched so many lives personally and professionally and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We are thankful for those who have reached out and wanted to attend, however we are following his wishes. We deeply appreciate everyone's expression of sympathy and concern, we are truly blessed.
