Tommy Olson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Weber-Hill & Packard Funeral Home - Crandon on Feb. 18, 2026.
Tommy "Tom" Gene Olson, age 74, of Crandon, passed away peacefully at home on February 15, 2026.

Tom was born on April 8, 1951, in Crystal Falls, Michigan, to the late Conrad and Wilma (Koski) Olson. He was a 1969 graduate of West Iron County High School.

On October 29, 1970, Tom married the love of his life, Kathleen Hughes. They shared more than 55 years of marriage. In the summer of 1976 they bought a house in Crandon to make their home.

Tom worked for over 30 years as a grader operator and was a proud union member of Local Operators Union 139. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

An avid outdoorsman, Tom loved hunting and fishing-especially trout fishing. If he wasn't out chasing trout he could be found supporting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their sports and school activities.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen, Tom is survived by his children: Tracy (Lee) Bradley, Cory (Julie) Olson, and Tommy (Anne) Olson; his brothers, Terry Olson and Michael "Mick" Olson; grandchildren: Cody Hanson, Karley Bradley, Lee Bradley, Lacey Keepers, Kelsy Jensen, Mallory Olson, Connor Olson, Tyler Olson, Coreena Kegley and Tommy (Madelyn) Olson; and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy (Michael) Pigeon.

The family would like to thank Sgt. Doane, Officer Anderson, Trooper Wilson and the Crandon Area Rescue Squad for their quick response and tireless efforts.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
