Stanley Kurlej Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley Funeral Home - Marlton on Dec. 10, 2025.
Stanley Kurlej, 85 passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025. Born on January 19, 1940, in Salamanca, NY, Stan lived a full and love-filled life defined by family, faith, and dedication.
Stan was married for more than 60 years to Gerri, who was the love of his life. Together, they built a beautiful family and a lifetime of memories. They were blessed with four children: Lynda Hofmann, Michael (Donna), Brian, and the late Patrick, whose legacy continues through his wife of thirty years, Debbie Koziol.
A devoted grandfather, Stan cherished his grandchildren-Reed (Katie), Jamie, Brooke (Jack), Jenny (Brayden), and Casey-and took great joy in cheering on their sports teams and celebrating their accomplishments. He was especially grateful to have met his great-granddaughter, Blair, whose arrival he eagerly anticipated. Stan is survived by his twin sister, who he spoke with almost daily, Patricia LeBlanc (the late Randy), and was predeceased by his siblings Helen, John, Theresa, and Leonard "Lex."
A longtime resident of Cherry Hill, Stan moved from Buffalo, NY, and created a warm and welcoming life surrounded by dear friends and family. He was an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, where his faith remained a steady foundation throughout his life.
Professionally, Stan was a talented computer engineer, who retired from Computer Sciences Corporation and contributed most recently contributing his expertise to the Aegis program for many years. He earned his bachelor's degree from St. Bonaventure University and later completed his master's degree at NJIT.
Stan was an avid skier which continued into his later years. He enjoyed the sport with his children and traveled with his sons to test some of the country's most challenging ski destinations. He also enjoyed the Phillies, fishing and spending time at the shore with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. Sunday breakfasts with his family were a treasured tradition. He lived at Wiley Mission during the last year. Although he missed his home of 46 years, he embraced his days at Wiley. He loved the music programs and turned out to be very skilled at bingo. He cherished the staff and all of the new friends that he made in his new home.
Above all, Stan will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his steady kindness, and the joy he found in life's simple moments. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday December 12th from 10:15-11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1439 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Friday at the church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wiley Mission in memory of Stanley Kurlej - Staff Appreciation, 99 E. Main St. Marlton, NJ 08053, or at Wileymission.org.
