First meeting Stan was at Rissman's Auto Parts on Douglas Ave. circa 1974. Stan managed the store and was a great help to me as I learned to wrench cars when in high school. He treated me like a friend even though I was a kid, and was always able to help- even getting under the hood to wrench.
Whenever I'm in an auto parts store, I think of Stan. Today's store employees can't function without a computer, and if it's not on their screen your out of luck. They might know some basic information at best- while Stan was a mechanic. He used a multitude of parts books and his own knowledge to identify and find the part and do it quickly. He was an encyclopedia of information-rarely seen today.
Also, he was a lifelong friend. I will miss him greatly as will many others. I'm so glad I could know him.

I first saw Stan at Porky´s, then later I had the pleasure to meet him at Bennigan´s where I had occasionally parked my car near his and occasionally have dinner with him and his friends, later on, he started to come to Cozy Cafe on Saturday evenings to have dinner with me and other friends that displayed our cars. I will miss him and his car stories. Michael "70 Chevelle" Slater

Stan was a very good friend and I always looked forward to seeing him at our car club shows with the Daytona Superbird Car Club. The last time I saw him was 4 months ago, and we talked about his Roadrunner being in the movie When Jack Came Back. He was so very proud of that. I will miss Stan a lot. R.I.P friend.

I remember spending an afternoon in my garage with Stan. He was helping me get my six barrel carbs dialed in just right, and he shared a lot of knowledge that he had about the six pack set up. In later years, he would stop by my house to hang out, sometimes, for no other reason than to show me a new car that he had acquired.

I have fond memories of cruising with Stan at Mopar nationals on the expressway with the top down on his 69 road runner convertible.
