Stanley Chester McMillan, age 95, entered into rest on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, Kansas. He was born on June 4, 1929, in Concordia, Kansas to Chester and Mildred (Rowland) McMillan.
Stanley graduated from Ft. Collins High School, Ft. Collins, Colorado.
On June 12, 1949, he married Corda Jane Larsen at the Presbyterian Church in Jamestown, Kansas. To this Union 3 children were born, Marion, Norman, and Howard. Stanley was a area lifetime farmer and most of all a loving husband, father and brother.
He was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Concordia and Jamestown, Kansas.
Stanley's hobbies included farming and working.
He is survived by his sons, Marion McMillan (Kathy), Meeker, OK; Norman McMillan (Karla), Jamestown, KS; Howard McMillan (Shea), Concordia, KS; Grandchildren, Melinda Miller (Michael), OKC, OK; Erik McMillan (Teri Jo), Meeker, OK; Lyle McMillan (Lauren), Shawnee, KS; Ashley Hutchinson (Brandt), Concordia, KS; Ryan McMillan (Thea), Concordia, KS; Macy McMillan, Denver, CO; Riley McMillan, Wichita, KS; 14 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Corda, parents, Chester and Mildred, sister, Joyce Schurr (Orville), sisters-in-law, Laverne Curry (Irvin), Agnes Rodgers (Edwin), Opal Gile (Clarence), brothers-in-law, Mervin Larsen (Nora), Glenn Larsen (Rita), Virgil Larsen (Ruby).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 9 am - 12 pm at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia with Pastor Al Paredes officiating. A burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Jamestown, Kansas.
