Stanley Moskal Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jardine Funeral Home, Inc. - Strongsville on Mar. 30, 2026.
Stanley "Stan" Moskal, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 28, 2026, at Southwest General Hospital. He was born on May 21, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio, and lived a life marked by love, generosity, and adventure.

Stan was the beloved husband of Shirley Moskal, with whom he shared 67 years together of devotion and companionship. He is survived by his children: Tom and his wife Janine, Lauren, Denise and her husband Alex, and Diane; grandchildren: Jason, Elyse and her husband Jimmy, Joshua, Danielle and her husband Cory, Samantha and her husband Justin, Alec, Celea, Aidan and his wife Zoe, and Kellen and his wife Zhe; great-grandchildren, Luna, Apollo, Verse, Arwen, Ryden, and Lily. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Moskal. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dan, and by his parents, Thomas and Anna Moskal.

Stan worked for the Illuminating Company in the electrical testing lab, where his skill, reliability, and practical knowledge were valued by those who worked alongside him. He approached his work with care and intelligence, and he was known throughout his life as someone who could help anyone with anything. He had a natural curiosity and an inventive spirit, and he was proud to be an "amateur inventor." He enjoyed sharing what he knew and took great joy in teaching his children and grandchildren anything they wanted to learn.

Outside of work, Stan embraced life with enthusiasm and energy. He loved tennis and had a deep appreciation for the water, whether he was wind surfing, sailing, or simply being near water. He also enjoyed skiing and snowboarding, and he found happiness in the excitement and freedom of active pursuits. His adventurous nature was matched by a warm and giving heart, and he was known for being generous, loving, and deeply devoted to the people and animals around him.

Stan's family and friends will remember him for the many ways he made life brighter for those he loved. He was a steady presence, a patient teacher, and a man who gave freely of his time, his talents, and his affection. He had a special way of making others feel supported and cared for, and his kindness extended to all animals as well. His life was one of service to family, joy in simple pleasures, and a spirit that welcomed new experiences.

He will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who knew him. Stan's adventurous heart, generous nature, and loving presence leave behind a lasting legacy that will continue through the generations of his family.
