Stanley G. Radzik of Naples, FL passed away peacefully on December 1st at the age of 94. He was the youngest of ten children born to Constantine and Josephine (Suszynski) Radzik in South Boston.
Devoted husband of Barbara (Kelly) Radzik for 72 years, loving father of Nancy and Brian Buckley of Falmouth MA, Paul and Eileen Radzik of The Villages FL, Brian and Maggie Radzik of Ave Maria FL and Rick Radzik of Quincy MA, and proud grandfather of Alison and Alexa Radzik.
Stan, affectionately known as “Star,” was an avid participant in the Boston Park League as a football quarterback and a softball pitcher. After graduating from South Boston High School, Stan enlisted in the US Air Force in 1950 and served until 1956.
He worked for the Boston Edison for 40 years before retiring in 1991. He loved going to work every day. After his retirement, he went on to work as a golf course ranger and starter for the next 25 years at The Rookery in Marco Island, Ballymeade in Falmouth and Granite Links in Quincy.
It brought him great joy to host and entertain family and friends at his home in Quincy, cottages in West Dennis and Falmouth and also in Marco Island and The Villages FL.
His hospitality and generosity were a staple of who he was and how he lived. He embraced everyone with love and warmth, and was always devoted to praying the Rosary daily.
Stan was preceded in death by his five sisters and four brothers, his granddaughters, Lauren and Caroline Radzik and his daughter-in-law, Liesl Radzik.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, December 8 from 4-7 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St.,Quincy. A Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday December 9th prior to the Funeral Mass in Divine Mercy Parish at St. Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial with military honors in Massachusetts National Cemetary, Bourne at 12:45 PM.
