Stanley Repka Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Resthaven Funeral Home - Aransas Pass on Jun. 10, 2025.
Stanley Louis Repka, affectionately known to many as "Stan," passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, in Baytown, Texas, at the age of 73. His journey began in Corpus Christi, Texas, where he was born on November 19, 1951, to the late Frances (Skoruppa) Repka and Aloysius Repka. Stan is now lovingly reunited with his beloved wife, Faith Repka, and his brother, Jerome "Danny" Repka.
Stan was a man deeply devoted to his family and his work, living a life marked by integrity, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. Over the course of more than four decades, Stan made significant contributions to law enforcement as a Master Peace Officer. He served with distinction at several institutions, including the Corpus Christi Police Dept, Nueces County Sheriff's Office, the Clute Police Department, and the Live Oak County Sheriff's Office. After retiring from active duty, Stan channeled his passion for law enforcement into education, assuming the role of Director at the Police Academy at Del Mar College. He leaves behind a lasting legacy through the countless students he inspired and guided.
Stan's heart was as vast as the Texas landscape he cherished so dearly, and his love for his family was the centerpiece of his life. He is survived by his three children: Chris (Dee) Repka of Crosby, Martin (Candi) Repka of Baytown, and Trey (Rose Angela) Repka of Bulverde; foster-son Henry Scholz of Neppermin, Germany; two brothers, Tony (Blanca) Repka of Johnson City and Bernie (Jackie) Repka of Alvin; sister-in-law Cher Repka of Illinois; and sister Denise (Eric) Matheson of Richmond. His legacy also flourishes through his eleven grandchildren-Kyly, Ryan, Devyn, Ayden, Laurel, Emma, Gracelyn, Alyssa, Alex, John Paul, and Lincoln-and seven great-grandchildren-Harper, Kyleri, Brixlee, Dean, Samuel, Walter, and Amelia; along with Six God-children: Matthew, Liam, Kyly, Shannon, Brennah, and Jennah; and numerous nieces and nephews, who will continue to carry his spirit and teachings forward.
Despite the many hats Stan wore, one of his most defining traits was his heartwarming ability to remain present for his loved ones. Whether gathering his brood for family occasions or offering a kind word and hearty laughter to ease life's trials, Stan was a cornerstone of strength and joy.
A visitation for Stan will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Aransas Pass. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass in celebration of Stan's life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Ingleside. He will be laid to rest in Palms Memorial Gardens in Taft, with pallbearers from his family ensuring he is taken to his final resting place with the honor and dignity he exemplified throughout his life.
