Stanley Tabor Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
He was born on May 25, 1943, in
Mount Sterling, Kentucky, the son of Stanley and Pearl (Shepard) Tabor Sr. Stanley worked for many years at Armco, where he served as a Tin Shop Foreman before retiring.
A man of strong faith, Stanley was a longtime member of Towne Blvd Church of God. He also faithfully served as a 4th grade Sunday school teacher and was instrumental in starting the Bus Ministry at Grand Ave. Church of God. His faith guided every aspect of his life, and he was known for his devotion to God, family, friends and church.
Stanley enjoyed traveling, woodworking, welding, and spending time tinkering in his garage. Above all, he was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather and great-grandfather who cherished time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Jamie (Jeff) Sempsrott and David (Kimberly) Tabor; grandchildren, Ian (Kara) Sempsrott, Alex (Chelsi) Sempsrott, Adam (Danielle) Tabor, Christopher Tabor, Brooke (Rick) Huber, and Brandon Murphy; great-grandchildren, Colton David Tabor, Lincoln Hayes Sempsrott, Mykah Jane Sempsrott, Finnley David Tabor, and Bonnie Rae Tabor; brother, Carl (Carolyn) Tabor; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Donna Rae Tabor; his parents; and multiple siblings.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Monroe First Church of God, 100 Easton Manor Drive, Monroe, Ohio 45050. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church, with Pastor Terry Ball officiating. Interment will take place at Woodside Cemetery.
