Star Ann Tabbert, age 66, of Manatowoc, passed away quietly on March 9, 2024. Star was born on April 9, 1957, in Wausau, daughter of the late James and Annabella Tabbert. Star was blessed with a loving Grandma Caroline, who helped raise her while her parents worked. She was a curious child who found her “happy place” outdoors. Star would set out in the morning on adventures throughout the family’s tree farm, not returning until supper time. Much of her day was spent sitting on her favorite rock, trout fishing.
When Star grew older, she continued her love for nature: picking raspberries, shining for deer, gardening, and had a love for all the dogs and kitties in the world. She could sit and work on puzzles for hours in addition to word searches and card games. Anything to keep her hands and mind busy. One of Star’s favorite pastimes was coloring in her adult coloring books, often framing pages for gifts. Star enjoyed celebrating life, whether it be cheering for the Packers and Badgers, or finding the perfect holiday t-shirt to wear.
Like the stars in the sky, Star was unique and bright. She will be dearly missed.
Star is survived by many cousins and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother who welcomed her with open arms.
The memorial service for Star will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St. Appleton WI. Visitation will take place from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Star will be laid to rest next to her parents at Evergreen Cemetery.
Star’s family would like to thank all the medical staff and care givers who supported her throughout her life.
