Steffie Barent

1928 - 2026

Steffie (Dudiak) Barent, 97, formerly of Tarentum, passed away peacefully on Jan. 22, 2026. She was born on Oct. 6, 1928, to the late Peter and Mary (Ploszaj) Dudiak. Steffie graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1947. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, bingo, and going to the casino. Her greatest joy was being involved in the lives of her three daughters, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Survivors include Virginia (Jim) Rosensteel of Melbourne, FL, Carole (Rick) Hoag of Presto, PA, Janet (Dan) Vorp of Burlington, NC, with whom she was living; Helen Dudiak, sister-in-law; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Steffie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; sisters, Frances Kukowski and Genevieve Dudiak; and brother, Chester Dudiak. Steffie will be remembered for her strong work ethic, belief in the power of prayer, and unwavering devotion to family. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, in CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
