Stella Dookie, our beloved mother, grandmother and sister said her earthly goodbye on May 18, 2025, at the age of 90. She is now resting peacefully with the angels above. Though we mourn the loss of our cherished matriarch, we find comfort in the enduring faith she instilled in each of us. Stella was surrounded by her loving family in her final moments, embraced by the very love she so generously gave throughout her life.
Stella was known for her unwavering faith and deep commitment to family, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered. Her generosity knew no bounds as she was always ready with a warm meal and a warmer heart for everyone who came by.
As a mother, she taught us the importance of resilience, the power of kindness, and the lasting value of integrity. Her lessons weren't just spoken, they were lived, quietly, consistently and with grace.
She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Rosie Peters. Widowed wife of Boysie. Mother of Sean, Shastri, Vance and Vanetia. Mother-in-law of Imelda and Tricia. Grandmother of Janis, Jonathan, Melisa, Melih, Jayda and Joanna. Sister of Kenneth, the late Kenny, Clara, Marjorie, Kenrick, Carol and Priscilla. Best friend of Hellen Offord. Mother figure to Terry Bocas. Aunty to many.
Rest in peace, mom. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Your love lives on in every life you touch and in the values you passed down. Though you are no longer with us in body, your spirit will forever guide us.
