Stella Rose (Knoff) Doucette, 85, of Peabody, died on Tuesday, January 12 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. Born in Rockville, Connecticut, she was a graduate of Rockville High School in Connecticut and had been a Peabody resident since 1973. Mrs. Doucette enjoyed arts, crafts and knitting. Stella Rose was the beloved wife of Richard K. Doucette. She was the loving mother of Claire Brown and her husband William of Wakefield. She was the sister of Florence DeMay of CT, and the late Joseph Knoff, Cassie Knoff, Martin Knoff, Franny Knoff, and Jane Prusha. Mrs. Doucette was the grandmother of Renée Doucette and Wayne Brown and is also survived by her two great grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 11:45 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.

Stella was a kind lady. She always made little gifts to give ladies at their meetings. She will be missed my many. My deepest sympathy to Claire Brown and her family! May she rest in peace.
