Stella Engle

Stella Engle, 75 of Tifton, Georgia, previously of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2025. She was surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Stella was preceded in death by her mother, Naomi Bays, father, Vernon Morgan, and her beloved husband of 53 years, Doug Engle, whose memory she always held close to her heart.
Stella was a devoted wife, mother and the very best nana to her grandchildren who dedicated much of her life to her family, through care, comfort, prayer and her loving way that made everyone feel like her favorite.
Stella also lived a life rooted in her Christian faith and dedication to her relationship with Jesus. While she was private in many areas of her life, she never met a person she didn't share her love of Jesus with, and many were touched by her ministering spirit, testimony, enthusiasm and faithful journey.
As a Christian, talented singer and songwriter, she loved music and shared her passion through the songs she played on the guitar and piano which always encompassed her faith as well. Her music and biblically inspired lyrics brought joy and comfort to many people through the years.
Stella is survived by her daughters, MeLisa King of Tifton, Georgia, Donna Engle-Connolly (Chuck) of Greenville, South Carolina, and grandchildren, Hannah Doss (Trey) of Savannah, Georgia, Abby King of Tift on, Georgia and Makenna and Tayton Connolly of Greenville, South Carolina, brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews and family.
A private ceremony will be held by the family to remember and honor her life.
