Stella May Naranjo
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
Philippians 1:21
With much sadness and yet with joy, on March 1, 2026, we bid our precious Stella Naranjo farewell. She left us to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born March 27, 1932, raised in La Puebla, and lived a long and full life. Her years with her husband were happy, spending them serving her family. God promoted her to the prestigious position of great-great-grandmother, an office she held until her passing.
As a homemaker, her home was open to all, becoming the center of family life. She believed in God and exemplified a life of love and family togetherness. She was known for her happy and warm heart. She loved music, singing, and dancing. She leaves behind a large family and a lifetime of unforgettable memories. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Marcelina Maestas; her beloved husband, Ramon Naranjo Jr.; siblings, Cornelio Maestas, Israel Maestas (Rita), Richard Maestas, Geraldine Arebalo, Felicita Vigil, and Lillian Guillen (Tony); children, Reynaldo Naranjo, Jesse Naranjo (Eleanor), and Roberta Dunsworth (Daniel).
Stella is survived by her children; Michael Naranjo (Gloria), Mariquita Garcia (Ismael), Gail Bell, and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Gail Bell is owed special gratitude and recognition for sacrificially and lovingly caring for her mother, the last years of her life. Thank you, Gail!
Pall bearers: James Scott, Angel Naranjo, Anthony Naranjo, Stacy Henrie, Uriah Arellano, Duke Bell.
Stella’s departure and celestial housewarming celebration will take place Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Rock Christian Fellowship (919 North Riverside Dr., Espanola, NM 87532) at 10:00 am, reception following. She will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 2:30 pm.
The Family of Stella Naranjo has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the beautiful Espanola Valley 505-747-7477
