Obituary for Stephaine Dawn Vickery
Stephaine Dawn Vickery, 58, of Las Animas, Colorado, passed away peacefully at her home on December 10, 2025, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on July 20, 1967, in Amarillo, Texas, Stephaine brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.
She is survive and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sarai Thomas of Commerce City, Colorado, and Kaylie Thomas of Pueblo, Colorado; her cherished grandchildren, Lanea, Sophie, Gabriella, Lydia, and Adalicia; her mother, Marilyn Redden of Las Animas, Colorado; her father, Robert Lee; her loyal little dog, Bougie; and her two siblings. Stephaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brent Vickery, and her grandson, Alejandro Gallegos.
Stephaine was known for her warmth, generosity, and the love she showed through her exceptional cooking-a true expression of her western heritage and her unique way of bringing people together. She took great pleasure in seeing the happiness her meals brought to others, as food was truly her love language. Stephaine also enjoyed searching for treasures at thrift stores, attending rodeos, fishing, home decorating, traveling to Mexico, and spending time outdoors by the lake or the beach, where she found peace relaxing in the sand. Adventurous at heart, she was always eager for new experiences and cherished moments spent near the water. She was also an avid fan of her favorite television shows and really enjoyed murder mystery shows.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Stephaine demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience throughout her long battle with illness. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family and her beloved Bougie, who brought her endless companionship and happiness. Stephaine was truly the rock of the family-her love for life, kindness, and devotion to her loved ones touched everyone she met.
Stephaine's memory will be deeply treasured by her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
