Stephan George Setta Jr.

Stephan George Setta was born November 11, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the seventh of eight children of the late Steve and Mary Setta.
Stephan was also known as Steve, Sonny and Uncle buddy to his friends and relatives.
Steve joined the Navy and served on the minesweeper USS Sage during the Korean war. The South Korea Government presented him with a Service Medal for his commitment on the 50th anniversary of the war.
He was a master Carpenter and built his own home. He enjoyed boating, fishing and growing things. He submitted entries of his work in the North Carolina State fair and was awarded over 40 blue ribbons.
While working at the North Carolina State University he was recognized as a Friend of SIGMA NU and received a prestigist Award in 1992, which only two are awarded each year in the United States.
Steve dedicated 20 years as a firefighter for the Pittsburgh Fire Department. He retired in 1979.
He is survived by his two daughters Janet Garrity and Pamela Williams, his brother George and their families.
In keeping with his wishes there will be a private grave site service at Pine Forest Memoral Gardens in Wake Forest, NC.
