Stephan was employed by Washington County as a Dog Warden until he was forced to retire for health reasons. He attended The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #390.
On December 20, 1972 he married Kathy Dye who survives with children, Stephan Strahler and Sherry Strahler both of Marietta; 3 grandchildren: Ali (Tyler) Barnhart, Kali (Ryan) Strahler and Jakob Lahaie; 4 great grandchildren: Penelope, Ethan, Aubrey and Abbie. He is also survived by his brothers: Paul and Roger Strahler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Agnes Lauer and 2 brothers Carl and Larry Strahler.
At his request, he will be cremated and there will be no services at this time. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
