Beloved, daughter, sister, niece, and friend, Stephanie D Brooks, transitioned into eternity on August 31, 2024. Her laughter and joyful spirit will forever resonate in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

Stephanie was given the gift of life on September 30, 1970, to her parents Raymond and Vivian Brooks. She was born and raised in Nashville, TN where she graduated from Hunters Lane High School. She continued her education at Austin Peay State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, and at the University of Phoenix, where she earned a Master of Business Administration degree. She was an employee of the State of Tennessee for over 25 years, most recently as a Contract Compliance Officer II in the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

From an early age, Stephanie was an active member of Lake Providence Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully served as a junior usher, and eventually on the adult usher board. Her servitude continued at Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was a greeter, welcoming attendees into the sanctuary with a warm smile. Church and giving back were an important part of who she was. Her community spirit extended beyond the church, as demonstrated by her involvement in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. As an active member, she consistently brought a giving heart, always ready to contribute and participate whenever possible. Stephanie was a proud member of the sorority and found joy in communing with her sisters. She was known for her generosity, freely sharing what she had with anyone in need, often putting the needs of others before her own. A rare soul in today's world, Stephanie lived with a sincere desire to make the world a better place, one person at a time. Her presence and efforts will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Stephanie was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Herman and Dovie Hendrix, paternal grandparents, Chest & L Brooks, and aunt Ida May Brooks.

Stephanie leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Raymond and Vivian Brooks, her devoted brother Keinon Brooks, her dear aunt Brenda Diane Hendrix, and aunt, Diane Tisdale, cherished cousins Kendria Battle-Pendergrass, Tiffany Battle-Marks, Tina & Ashely Horne, Tiffany Gray, Annie Wilson, James Guthrie, Chris Taylor, and Travis Davis, as well as her devoted friends Anya Lockert Young, Michele Catlin Randle, Trish Leavell, Melisa Kidd Burns, Anita Franklin, Felicia Johnson, Zonda Thomas, Shondrea Winn, and Auronda Lewers. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
