Stephanie Diane Brooks, born on July 10, 1967, in Benton, Arkansas, passed away on October 9, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith that will never be forgotten.

Stephanie worked hard throughout her life, managing several fast-food restaurants where she was known for her dedication, steady leadership, and her ability to bring people together like family. She took great pride in her work and cared deeply for those she worked alongside. A business graduate, she valued education and believed in always doing her best, no matter the task.

Life wasn’t always easy for Stephanie. She faced many challenges, especially her long battle with diabetes, but she met every obstacle with courage, grace, and an unshakable spirit. Her faith in God guided her through life’s hardest moments, and she often found strength and peace through her deep spiritual connection.

Stephanie shared a special bond with her father, C.W. “Smokey” Turbyfill, III. She adored him deeply and looked up to him all her life. Her love and admiration for him were so great that she affectionately gave herself the nickname “Little Smokey”—a name that showed just how proud she was to be his daughter. That connection remained close to her heart, even after his passing.

Her greatest joy came from being a mom to her two sons, Blake Brooks and Jared Brooks. They were the light of her life, and she loved them beyond measure. Stephanie had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome—her sons’ friends often called her their “second mom.” Her home was always open, filled with laughter, kindness, and the comforting smell of something good cooking in the kitchen.

Stephanie’s creative side shone in the beautiful lamps she made from wood and crystals, each one reflecting the same warmth and light she shared with others. She also had a tender heart for animals, especially cats, who seemed to know they were safe and loved in her care.

She is survived by her two sons, Blake  and Jared Brooks; her mother, Patsy Turbyfill who was an amazing mother, who provided a warm home, with strong standards for faith and family;  her precious twin grandchildren, Atlas and Eden; her sister, Danielle Turbyfill; and her aunts, Michelle Brown and Diane Clark, husband, Matt Brooks; along with many family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her father, C.W. “Smokey” Turbyfill, III, whose memory she always held close, and her brother, Steven Turbyfill, who was her guardian Big Brother.

Stephanie’s strength, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Though she may be gone from our sight, the light she shared—rooted in her faith and the love she gave so freely—will continue to shine brightly through those she loved.
