Stephanie "Steph" Anne Compton (Dentz)
March 10, 1963 – September 23, 2024
On the evening of September 23rd, 2024 Stephanie Anne Compton passed away due to a sudden heart attack at the age of 61 in Farmington, Minnesota in her home. Stephanie was born at the Swedish General Hospital of Minneapolis on March 10th, 1963 and was raised in South Minneapolis. She graduated from Blaine High School in 1981. Stephanie also worked 16 years in food and nutrition services for Rosemount Middle School - District 196 where she loved seeing the many students she served and fed each day. She worked hard and was proud of her many certifications that she earned and kept up to date each year through many hours of training and effort.
Stephanie was a loving, kind and selfless mother, wife & daughter. Who always put her family first and foremost, as she was unfalteringly generous. She enjoyed antiquing, watching films, good food, music and spending time with her family. She was also always open to trying new things, foods and going new places. Her favorite song was "Somewhere over the Rainbow" by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole.
As many know Stephanie was also a wonderful cook, whose talent came through in the many dishes she prepared for the people she loved. She always did her best to lift up those around her and to see the best in people.
She was an extraordinary woman and will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind, her impact everlasting.
She is survived by her husband Joby J. Compton, Son Jerad M. Compton, Mother Darlene Ann Troiano (Dentz), Brothers Jeffrey (Christy), Anthony "Tony" (Carol), & Hilary "Larry" J. Dentz (Terri), as well as all her nieces and nephews. Also her loyal kitties Willow "Peeps" and Koko. She is preceded in death by her father Hilary "Larry" S. Dentz.
