Stephanie Daniels Obituary

Visit the Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home & Crematory website to view the full obituary.
Stephanie (Tucker) Daniels, a longtime resident of Plainfield, Connecticut, and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, entered her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on the afternoon of March 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with dementia. She was 64 years old.

Stephanie was born on September 16, 1961, to Claude and Mildred (Albrecht) Tucker.

She is survived by the love of her life, her devoted husband of 37 years, Melvin Daniels. She is also survived by her loving daughters, Jennifer Saran and her husband Mark, and Sherri Holmes and her husband Andrew.

Stephanie was a proud and cherished grandmother to five grandchildren who were truly the lights of her life: Carlos, Tatyana, and Jesiah Zapata, and Jayden and Logan Holmes.

She is also survived by her sister, Lisa Forlino, and her brother, Richard Tucker. Stephanie was predeceased by her parents, Claude and Mildred Tucker, and her brother-in-law, Piero Forlino.

Throughout her life, Stephanie worked in several places where she enjoyed serving and connecting with others, including Cumberland Farms, Friendly's, and KB Toys. She also volunteered on the ambulance for the American Legion in the Moosup/Plainfield area.

Stephanie was full of life and found great joy in the simple things. She loved spending time with her family, enjoying the sunshine, swimming in her pool, crafting, baking, and sewing. She also enjoyed traveling the back roads of Maine, where she delighted in finding unique country-themed treasures.

Stephanie's greatest role in life was that of a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother. Her kindness, warmth, and endless love for her family were at the center of her life. Though her family grieves her loss, they take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will continue to live on through those she leaves behind.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Stephanie's family from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home, 595 Norwich Rd, Plainfield, CT. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private. For memorial guestbook visit www.DoughertyBrothers.com.
